In the UK, around 1,838 children aged 0 - 14 years are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Even though cancer is not common in children, it is a leading cause of death. The 2nd most common cause of death in children is accidents.

About Joey's and Mary's Story

There are many great sites that share information about cancer in children. However, many are aimed at the adult. These 2 stories are aimed at the child. The adult sits with the child and read the story together as if they were reading a "Peter Rabbit" book. Mary's story is about radiotherapy and Joey's story is about chemotherapy. Both stories tackle these treatments in a safe (hopefully) non-scary way.

I hope this works. Other stories are already in the pipeline....
